Well folks, the time has almost arrived. Our hurling and camogie players will be heading into championship battle in a few hours so please get down to Sports City to cheer them on.

They've been working their socks off for the last 6 weeks and we hope all teams can land some silverware tonight.

This PRO has been a vocal critic of current chairman Danny Farrell, but he must be applauded for making sure Aine Mannion chose the Celts after deciding to leave the Sharjah frat pack.

What a player she is and the dual-star will be hoping to make a big, big impact on the pitch over the course of the weekend and she can certainly pack a punch. She has already acquainted herself with a member of the Dubai Men's footballers, but that's a different story for a different day.

Good luck to all the players and management of all the hurling and camogie teams and hopefully Wes Morrissey will be able to frequently use his favourite word 'Wowzers'.

Morrissey is ably assisted by Liam Lyons who tells everybody at every opportunity he gets that he was involved with the Limerick senior hurlers prior to their All-Ireland success.
