Which team do you look forward to playing the most and why?:
Clann na hOman
Favorite Restaurant in Dubai:
The Dhow and Anchor. I’ve been there once. The food’s nice and it sounds sophisticated and upmarket.
Favourite band or musician?:
Radiohead, The Smiths, Joy Division – great tunes to get the boys pumped up in the dressing room..
Growing up who was your all-time favourite player?:
Frankie Dolan – kicked 25 points in two matches on Roscommon’s whirlwind journey to the dizzying heights of the All – Ireland Quarter Finals in 2003. It was like the Rossies’ version of Italia ’90! Craic.
If you could be another teammate for a week who would it be and why?
Cathal O’Mahony – I’d just love to know what it feels like to box Paudie Garvey! ïŠ
Who is your dream date?:
Which teammate would be voted off Big Brother first and who would win?:
As you know, there’s been a lot of friction in the club lately. The John Terry/Wayne Bridge scenario that has divided the club has been well documented. I’d think I’d like to see James Doherty and Paul Downes in the Big Brother house together. I don’t know who’d win or who’d lose but it’d be brilliant television!
What is your nick name?:
Now “Rizz†but when I first moved out I joined the club with Downesy, Scully and the now semi – retired “Brack Attackâ€. The much loved, long serving Celts’ hero Shane Fowley christened me “The Other Guy†due to nobody knowing my name and because I had no friends. Sound.
What is your favourite movie?:
The Road – a post apocalyptic drama about a man and his son who are attempting to find safety in a world that is slowly dying. It also has cannibals. Class!
If you could attend any sporting event in the world, what would it be?:
All – Ireland Final – too many ads at the superbowl; it’d only annoy me!
What would you change about GAA games (if any)?:
The days of going up to Tuam supporting the Rossies in June with the “tar meltin’, “ice – cream meltin’ and the “cuckoo singin’ are long gone. Get rid of the outdated provincial championship and replace it with the proposed “Champions League†style format. Run the championship off by August, club fixtures by November and let the lads have a few pints at Christmas.
In ten years I hope to be:
make the Inters!
